Public Involvement and Engagement
Public Involvement and Engagement in the work of the School is a core priority. We have members of the public involved with our Advisory Group which provides overall strategic direction for the School. All of the DEEP work of the School is based on the principals of working with all people in context specific ways- for example developing evidence enriched practice work in the care home setting depends on engagement from residents, their carers, care home workers and managers as well as researchers. There is a video example of the role individuals play in shaping and creating research- please click here to view this.
The School has a network of people interested in being involved and kept up to date on the work of the School- these key supporters are called Friends of the School. Involvement and engagement activities will be sent via a newsletter to this group which has up-coming events and ways for people to get involved.
To be a Friend of the School simply fill in the mail list boxes at the bottom of the page and don’t forget to pick up your Friend of the School badge at the next event you join us at!
We will be holding open days very soon. These days will ensure that people tell us about the things that matter to them, to find out what research people would like to see happen in Wales, or what current research people would like to find out more about. Everyone's input is very welcome and will ensure that we can shape events and seminars around people’s interests.
If you have any comments, questions or queries please do get in touch via twitter, facebook, email or phone- our contact details are at the bottom of this page. We look forward to hearing from you.
